Rick has been on a business trip for the past two weeks and just got back yesterday! He has never been gone for that long. The longest he has been gone at once was a week. So, it was quite an adjustment for us to be without him. He even missed Halloween, which was hard on the kids!
And after hearing that my sweet friend Vee's husband was killed in a tragic accident on Tuesday, I am especially grateful that he is home safe and sound!
Here are some other reasons I am grateful for Rick this week ...
1. He actually preferred this
to this
2. He got home yesterday morning and spent three hours of his afternoon sitting at Wal-Mart getting me new tires for my Suburban.
3. He swung his daughter on the swings and went to his little boy's Veteran's Day program.
4. He got up this morning and resumed his "job" of making the bed.
5. He'll be home all weekend to spend time with us.
I am grateful to have a husband who likes to be with his family and who takes such good care of us!
I'm so glad you're home, babe!

Oh my goodness I’m sorry to hear about your friend’s husband.
ReplyDeleteRick sounds like a good guy! How awesome is that, that he makes beds. Kent has tons of wonderful qualities but helping with the house work is not one of them. He does help when I ask but I think he would chuckle if I asked him to makes the beds.
Thanks for linking up! Hope to see you back next week!
