What Mama Got for Christmas

Mama was a good girl this year. And she was rewarded by her Santa and elves. She kind of wanted a hodgepodge of weird things this year, and she got them and more.

She wanted a variety of books. So, instead of making Santa guess what she wanted, she got on Amazon and ordered them for Santa (using his debit card, of course). She was just as excited when she got them as if they had all been a surprise!

Here is what she wanted. She has plans for them all!!

Published in 1937.

Published in 1964. I have already read this book and plan to read it several more times. It is very inspiring if you are a woman who is content with caring for her home and family.

I had this book years ago and it definitely takes you outside your comfort zone, which I could always use a little of.

Wow. The art projects and lessons in this book are AMAZING! I can't wait to take Brynne through the classic artists contained in this book!

I have been wanting this 800+ page book for a long time! It guides a teacher/mom through teaching of a nature study. It was featured in Karen Andreola's A Pocketful of Pinecones that I absolutely adored!

I imagine that after reading this list of books I actually wanted for Christmas you are thinking that I am a weirdo. I am.

Mama's sweet little elf, Dawson, got her these two things:

And her beautiful elfette, Kyndal, gave her this:

Her littlest elflings got her a hand-crocheted scarf (from the coop bartering day) and Toy Story 3 for her and Santa to share. He and mama have already watched it and cried.

 

Mama's own mama and daddy gave her money, which she always appreciates and she got some beautiful baubles from her sister.

It was the Merriest of Christmases for mama.
