Happy Mother's Day to Me

Well, wishing my own mother 'Happy Mother's Day' on my blog would go unnoticed by my mother because she is in IRELAND!! I hope her and my dad are having an amazing time! We gave her well wishes on Saturday, before they left, and will give her gifts when we see her next.

I had a great Mother's Day!

On Saturday Rick brought me flowers. They certainly brightened up our table, and my day!

Later in the day, Rick and I went and bought my Mother's Day gifts ... all the flowers for my flower pots (about 25 pots), and some new perennials. He also spotted some new flower pots (that I am always too cheap to buy), and bought them for us. They look so amazing on each side of our garage doors! I got the flowers planted and was so happy about how beautiful our home looked.

Yesterday started with our family going to church where Eli and Brynne and the other kids honored the mothers with a fun song, flowers, and a new Bible. It was very special!

When we got home, I received my other gifts: a sweet wooden flower box with picture frames that Brynne and daddy made at a Lowe's Build and Grow clinic on Saturday. Eli gave me a newspaper article he wrote at school about how I am "Mother of the Year", and the cutest pop-up card. And Dawson cleaned the upstairs. I also got a sweet text from Kyndal.

I also got some special loves from my doggies.

We had Rick's family over for dinner, and then when they went home I collapsed on the couch for a nap.

It was a 'Happy Mother's Day' for me!
