Nicole's Daybook

Outside my window... Bea - u - ti - ful !!!!

I am thinking... about how relaxed I have been lately, enjoying gardening and reading.

I am thankful ... for the little group of homeschool moms and kids we will be having a small group with this summer.

I am wearing... a layered t-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.

I am planning... Eli and Brynne's summer reading schedule.

I am creating... Homeschool notebooks and book lists for next year.

I am going... to clean the upstairs today and start disassembling our schoolroom that we don't use.

I am reading...  Planting Dandelions by Karyn Pittman, I, Juan de Pareja by Elizabeth Borten de Trevino (Dawson's read-a-loud), 26 Fairmont Avenue by Tomie de Paola (Brynne and Eli's read-a-loud).

I am hoping... that I get an adjunct teaching position for fall.

From the learning rooms... TWO MORE WEEKS! We are certainly winding down!

Noticing that ... my vegetable garden is coming along nicely! But, my tomatoes don't look too good this year.

From the kitchen... lots of yummies. Last night we had grilled pork chops, italian veggie packets, and long grain and wild rice. Yum!!

Around the house... are happy and colorful birds and butterflies.

One of my favorite things... Fast cars and hot men. Just kidding! See Why I Love Vin Diesel post. No, really, my new wireless printer is my favorite thing this week. AWESOME!

A few plans for the rest of the week... Not much today other than a trip to the library. Tomorrow night Rick and I have our Wine Wednesday back porch date. On Thursday I am taking Dawson and Brynne to Philbrook Museum to look at the Italian Renaissance paintings and pick up discounted zoo passes at Mathis Brothers Furniture. Nothing is on the agenda for this weekend. Yea! Kyndal is working a lot this week, Dawson is playing loads of xbox, Eli and Brynne are playing Power Rangers Samarai (their new passion) and Rick will be playing golf, I am sure!! I'll be doing my usual.

From my picture journal.

The first edible from my garden. I ate it on the spot!

Lots of women Daybook. See what they have to say at The Simple Woman's Daybook.
