We are all moved in. Curtains are hung. Decorations are on the walls. Internet is working. We have DirectTV. Everybody is happy.
I am most happy that we can now start some NORMALCY, at least in our day-to-day lives. Of course, it won't be the same until we get our house sold in Oklahoma and Rick is here with us full time.
One thing I am happy to be back to doing is cooking regular dinner meals! Here is what we are having this week:
Monday ~ Kids to the Dairy Queen. I have to drive to Kansas City in the late afternoon to pick my mom up from my sister's. The kids can walk to Dairy Queen and stop by to see Papa.
Tuesday ~ Fried crappie (our new neighbor supplies the whole neighborhood with fresh crappie) and macaroni and cheese
Wednesday ~ Still Fend for Yourself (which mostly means pizza rolls for the kids, Hot Pockets for Dawson, and cereal for me). I've been doing this FFY for 12 years. I don't see why I should stop now!
Thursday ~ Spaghetti
Friday ~ Chicken and noodles with Amish egg noodles
Saturday ~ Calzones
Sunday ~ Weekly dinner at grandma and papa's. Man, I'm going to love Sundays!
So excited for you all! Can't wait to catch up with you!
ReplyDeletesounds great! we use to do weekly sunday's alternating houses. I might have to bring that back! :)
ReplyDeleteGood plan and I'm sure the kids really like the going to DQ night! Mine would. You're quite impressive, getting your new home together so quickly.
