Outside my window... it is so sunny and pretty right now. The sun is coming up from the bluff and rising over the trees. I can hear the birds chirping their Spring song.
I am thinking... about the high cost of spite.
I am thankful ... for endless stories about golf, zombies, newly released video games, and dogs.
I am wearing... gray, black and white plaid tunic, skinny jeans, black sweater boots, and my "Keep Calm and Carry On" necklace.
I am planning... our homeschool co-op's field trip to a fully sustainable nursery, and our 5th Friday Fun Day for March 30th.
I am creating... green daisies.
I am going... to get together with my good friend today so that we can study the Proverbs 31 woman together.
I am reading... The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks (this one's good!), My Name is Mary Sutter by Robin Oliveira (I'll get back to it, I really will!), City of Orphans by Avi (Dawson's daily read-a-loud), Stepping Heavenward by E. Prentiss (my daily devotional), Beautiful in God's Eyes by Elizabeth George (book study I am doing with a friend, doing one chapter every two weeks), For Women Only by Shaunti Feldhahn.
I am hoping... that I regain the feeling to my chin and lower lip soon. Annoying!!
From the learning rooms... Dawson has moved from DNA to proteins. He is working on some different models this week. Brynne has moved out of the realm of dogs and onto St. Patrick's Day. She made a beautiful birthday card for my grandma yesterday (my grandma's birthday is on the 17th). We'll be doing some baking this week! Yesterday, Eli was astounding me with his math abilities. It just clicks with him! In fact, he even taught Brynne how to do double-digit subtraction with borrowing. We haven't moved onto that concept yet, so he taught her.
Noticing that ... it's allergy season.
From the kitchen... I am beginning to think I might like the idea of buying meals for a couple of weeks, having a displayed list, and then letting someone pick from it each morning to determine what we have for dinner that night. And I LOVE the food pyramid plates I bought Eli and Brynne and posted about here.
Around the house... things are much cleaner, especially the upstairs. With Dawson gone this past weekend, I got up there and did some recon. It looks and smells good!
One of my favorite things... are the sounds of wild animals around our house: owls, coyotes, wood peckers, crows, chirping birds.
A few plans for the rest of the week... This week will be pretty quiet, as usual. On Friday night I might take the kids up to Eli's school to the Spring Fling, if they want to go. Dawson will be gone again this weekend, and Rick has some plans on Saturday. Otherwise, it's just school, work, and life.

From my picture journal.
In one week, we will be one block away from this all week. Cannot wait!
