12 in '12

Hi! Happy Last Day of 2012! I loved the holiday season this year. But, I have to admit, I am so glad that my hibernation period starts tomorrow! All of our birthdays are over, there are no costumes to make, turkeys to bake, sweets to prepare, or gifts to wrap. All of the Christmas decorations have been put away and my house is back to normal. I am looking forward to getting some housework done in the next couple of days and starting off 2013 with a clean slate! We are also supposed to get some snow over the next day or so. I hope so!

A couple of weeks ago I came across a meme that I thought would be a fun way to wrap up 2012. Then I forgot to grab the logo or keep track of who started it. So, if you happen to come across that person sometime, come back and let me know so I can give credit to her. Until then, here are my 12 in '12.

12. Favorite movie you watched:
I can't even remember any movies I watched this year except for Ice Age: Continental Drift and Lincoln. My real favorite was probably at the beginning of the year when Dawson and I watched the mini-series North and South for his schooling. I loved it in the '80s and again this year!

11. Favorite TV series:
Without a doubt, Downton Abbey. But, Parenthood is my other favorite. Oh, and Criminal Minds. Shoot, I am also a devoted follower of Chopped.

10. Favorite restaurant:
When I choose a restaurant, it's usually Olive Garden. But for Rick's office Christmas dinner this year we went to a restaurant in Tulsa called Michael V's. It was amazing! I had the most delicious tilapia ever and ate perfectly cooked rice (I didn't know there was such a thing.)

9. Favorite new thing you tried:
Playing the handbells at church. I played them back when I was 13 years old, and picking them back up this year as been so great! It is so fun!

8. Favorite gift you got:
It's always all the flowers Rick lets me buy at Mother's Day to plant around our house. It just colors my world!

7. Favorite thing you pinned:
I don't pin. I am staying as far away from Pinterest as I can! The last thing I need is another computer addiction. If I need to store an idea, I use a service called Clippix. It's the same idea without all the obsession.

6. Favorite blog post:
What I Learned on Vacation

5. Best accomplishment:
Our move to Missouri.

4. Favorite picture:

3. Favorite memory:
Completely remodeling the inside of this house in a week, and the joy and excitement it brought with it. Wow.

2. Goal for 2013:
Get the outside of our house looking as amazing as the inside, and for as cheap! I can't wait to get my gardening area fixed up!

1. One Little Word:
Less
