And Away He Goes ...

Yesterday I took Dawson to get his driver's license. He passed his test and is now a licensed driver! Gads!

Several years ago my dad bought a 1978 Cadillac Coupe DeVille that he named "Smoove". The girls don't want to even sit in it. But Dawson wanted it for his first car. So, Papa gifted it to him and now Dawson is it's proud owner. He couldn't be happier! He loves that car!

Crusoe's pretty fond of it, too!

The first time he took it for a test drive he said, "That was life changing."

His and Papa's motto in regard to Smoove is, "Some people dream about it, but we're living it."

Me? I feel like the shadow Dawson is leaving behind. We stood and watched as our son drove away from us. It was hard not to stop and remember him as a rotten three year old. Where, oh where, has the time gone?
