Eli's 9th Birthday

Well I just realized that I never posted about Eli's 9th birthday! That doesn't surprise me with all of the end-of-the-year craziness, and his birthday is smack dab in the middle of it, on the 22nd of December.

This year he wanted to go to Kansas City and go to LegoLand at Crown Center. Since Brynne was still suffering from the flu, the older kids stayed home with her so that Eli could have me and Daddy all to himself.

We drove up to Kansas City, stopping at McDonald's on the way for lunch. We headed straight for LegoLand and it was lots of fun!

Afterward we ran around Crown Center and then did some shopping so that he could spend some of his birthday money he got from Grandma and Papa. He also did his Christmas shopping for his siblings and his mama!

Our last stop was dinner, and we chose Chili's for him so that we didn't have to eat more McDonald's or something. He had a yummy dinner of pizza and french fries. And then he was treated with a free dessert!

Eli loves life and he loves life's events. He not so patiently sits through all of the kids' birthdays that happen once a month starting in August. It is torture for him to wait for his birthday! Although we try to have his birthday party in November, which we did this year, his actual birthday is something he can't hardly stand waiting for. He enjoyed his day so much! He even hugged our waiter at Chili's. It was a great day and Rick and I enjoyed spending his day with him!
