There are lots of random things going on this week, so thought I would share ...
1. My grandma is sick again. We are pretty sure that she has a UTI, which is a common occurrence for her these days. She's been in bed for two days and doesn't know where she is or who we are. Her infections always go straight to her mind, which is how we know something is wrong. The staff at her home always want to chalk it up to dementia which, I swear, she does not have. The only time confusion sets in is when she has an infection of some kind. It's so frustrating!
2. Last night when I went to see my grandma, I had just left church and had a crockpot in my floorboard full of potato soup. I turned into the parking lot and it dumped over. Nice.
3. Kyndal is going through more changes in her life. She is moving back in with her dad, having problems with her boyfriend, and quickly approaching that time in her life where she needs to buckle down and make some decisions. This is a hard time for her.
4. My mom, dad and I are leaving early in the morning tomorrow to go to Portland, Oregon, to see my brother, sister-in-law and 3-month old niece, Bell. I am very excited to get my hands on that baby!!
5. Rick is coming tonight to stay the weekend with the kids. They cannot wait to see him! I, unfortunately, will only get to see him a few minutes.
6. But, he is bringing me a new baby!! Yesterday he bought me a new laptop! I have had this MacBook since 2007 and it is about obsolete in it's usage. I think we are behind 3 operating systems. It runs slow and has all kind of quirks. I won't know how to respond to a computer that actually works! Thank you, honey!!
7. Today I am going to a parent meeting for our new Homeschool Co-op. I am a little nervous. You never outgrow those feelings when starting at a new place.
I think that's it for now. Have a good weekend!
So sorry to hear about your Grandma. It's such a helpless feeling to watch someone you love suffering when there's nothing you can do about it. Been there....done that and it never gets easier.
ReplyDeleteA new year for Kyndal....new challenges. I know you feel as helpless with her as you do your Grandma.
Have a wonderful weekend with your niece! I can't wait to see pictures!
ReplyDeletePraying for your grandma and Kydal!
