Outside my window... my neighbors are all trying to shovel themselves out after our massive snow storm last night. I paid a couple of dudes with snow shovels walking on the street $15 to dig out my car.
I am thinking... about what our move here will mean for our future.
I am thankful ... that my grandma took a turn for the better this past Saturday. She is still having her ups and downs, but it was sure nice to see her happy, smiling, and talking for a change.
I am wearing... my pjs and robe (at 1:30 p.m.) and I just don't think I am going to get out of them today.
I am planning... to discontinue this blog after this post. I don't find myself very inspired to write on it anymore. Thank you to all of you who have followed me all these years. If you want to see a peek into our day, you can still stop over at Journey to Excellence. I will be posting there as normal and will probably just add a few of our personal activities to it.
I am creating... better use of some spaces in the house.
I am going... to give a shout-out to my Uncle Jon. He reads my blog every day, especially when he is out on the road. I saw him on Saturday at my niece's division championship basketball game (they won, btw, ... go Rylee!) and he told me he wanted to be mentioned on my blog. So, here you go, Uncle Jon! You have been mentioned!!!
I am reading... Lives of Value by Sharleen Cooper Cohen. I saw it in the back pocket of my dad's truck seat. I am assuming my mom read it in the car to/from Florida on one of their trips. If you are looking for it, mom, I have it.
I am praying... for God's love and protection.
From the learning rooms... Snow days and sick days.
Noticing that ... healthy eating is now a way of life for us. Everybody's on board.
From the kitchen... I am putting a big ham in the crock pot and we are eating it for a few meals this week in various forms.
Around the house... are sleeping dogs and kids home from school.
One of my favorite things... is snowy, wintry days. Good thing!
A few plans for the rest of the week... Our plans for the rest of the week will depend on the weather. I am hoping that things work out so that we can ALL go to Eli's Blue and Gold Banquet that was rescheduled to this coming Friday.

Lots of women Daybook. See what they have to say at The Simple Woman's Daybook.
Sorry to hear you won't be posting anymore :( I've enjoyed reading your blog!....Beth in Ohio
ReplyDeleteBeth, I hope you will just start following me on Journey to Excellence. I will have personal posts there, from time to time. It just doesn't make sense for me to keep two blogs running all the time anymore. Thanks for following all these years!
DeleteWill miss you! Have a great rest of the school year and hope everything settles down, you sell your house in OK and your all in one place soon.
ReplyDeleteShannon
I'll see you over at Journey to Excellence, Shannon!
DeleteWell that's a kick in the pants! I'm going to need for you to email me every week and give me a play by play on what's going on in your life! I will follow the other blog too!
ReplyDeleteYou'll still get glimpses of us over at J2E. Keeping up two blogs was like back when I was scrapbooking and had 5 separate scrapbooks going at the same time. Impossible to keep up!
DeleteThis makes me VERY sad as you've been an important part of my day....but I SO understand your need to go a different direction. Just don't forget us and know that you STILL have people out here thinking about you and praying that things go the right direction for all of you very soon. Your family has really been through a big transition the past few years and you all deserve some stability and peace of mind.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your constant love and support! Love you!
DeleteI'm sad to hear you won't be blogging here anymore! I used to follow several blogs and now I'm down to just two, including yours. I will tell you I've enjoyed yours the best because it's just been so real!!! All the other ones I felt like were just posting what they wanted you to see. You know the saying "I'm so much cooler online?" But I don't really care about appearances. I love real life. Something you can walk away from after reading and feel like you can relate. Anyway, sorry for the novel. Just know I'll be thinking, wondering and praying for you guys all the time:) And I'll be following your school blog.
ReplyDeleteHope you'll just add Journey to Excellence to your reading. I'll just be transferring some of our personal stuff over to there. Thanks for being such a devoted follower all these years, Christie!!!
DeleteJust so you know, my uncle e-mailed me yesterday and said that his bucket list is now complete! :)
ReplyDeleteFollowing you on your other blog now! I have to get my weekly dose of Nicole! ;)
ReplyDeleteWill miss you here, but see you over at Journey to Excellance!
ReplyDeleteI will check out the other blog. I know what you mean I'm not inspired to blog much. Life is just so busy!
