Starting right at midnight, Eli started vomiting. He and I had a rough night. He was up at 8:30 a.m. feeling much better, but still suffering from a tummy ache. We did schoolwork from the couch, only doing what we could do without a whole lot of effort. The school must have been having a disgusting lunch because Dawson texted me and asked me if I could bring him a sack lunch. Kyndal called and said that the doctor thinks she might have a chipped bone in her back from falling out of a cheerleading stunt onto her back in the middle of the gym floor. She is going to have it x-rayed. Dawson took an application out to the nursing home where my grandmother resides for a part-time job washing dishes. Cub scouts was cancelled because there are more than one with the flu. We took bathes, washed all of our bedding, and covered everything with Lysol. Then we stayed in for the night and went to bed early.

Tuesday, January 29th
It was a rainy day all day. We worked hard on our schoolwork and had an early dinner. I went to church for my women's circle fellowship, came home to find the kids had put themselves to bed, and then I went to bed early, too.

Wednesday, January 30th
It was bitter cold! We had a very productive day of school and then the kids stayed home while I ran up to church for bell choir practice. I stopped at my parents' for a minute to drop off a pot of my dad's. Then I came home, got the kids ready for bed, and watched some t.v. before I went to bed.

Thursday, January 31st
The kids popped right up so that we could get our 3R's done before we headed off to Co-op. We ate lunch at Co-op, had our classes, and then went to get groceries. When we got home I went out to see my grandma at the nursing home (who is still declining in her health). Dawson went to a nearby town to watch Kyndal cheer and to see her dad. I fixed dinner and gave the kids baths. Then we all relaxed for the evening.

Friday, February 1st
The kids and I made sure to get up and get school rolling so we could be completely done by the time daddy got here. After school I did my "First Day of the Month" vacuuming behind all of the furniture. I hate that day. Rick arrived at about 5:00 p.m. The kids pounced on him to play Wii. I made spaghetti for dinner and then we went to the high school basketball game. My niece, Rylee, ran for princess. Dawson and Taylar went to the dance after the game. Rick, the kids, and I stayed up and watched WWE Friday Night Smackdown (six months ago I would have bet you a million dollars I would never do that).

Saturday, February 2nd
This was to be a sleeping-in day, but Brynne decided to actually hear her alarm on her watch (the only day this week) and was in my room by 8:30 a.m. She and I laid in bed while she played the iPad and I did some blogging and reading. The men woke up between 11:00 a.m. and noon. Rick took the kids to eat at Subway and then took Eli to Walmart. Brynne and I stayed home. She watched t.v. and I took a power nap. I made tacos for the family for dinner, and then me and my mom went to Concordia to go to Kyndal's senior talent show. We had a nice pasta dinner, good conversation with her, and watched a pretty good variety show.

Sunday, February 3rd
We went to Sunday school and church, then to my parents' for lunch. After lunch Rick played more Wii with the kids and I took another little nap on the couch. He left at about 4:30 p.m. (to much wailing by Brynne). The kids and I had an early dinner and then they watched t.v. and played while I did lesson plans. When they went to bed Dawson and I started a new series, The Following. It's intense! Then we got to bed at our normal time to get a good start to our week.
