Yesterday was my dad's 63rd birthday. My mom, sister and the rest of the family had an out-of-town volleyball game of my niece's. So, Eli, Brynne, and I invited my dad over for a special dinner. The kids made cards for papa and we had pork chops, oven-baked sliced potatoes, fresh green beans, and crock pot pumpkin pie. It was a nice evening! Happy birthday, dad!
It's postings like this that make the move and the separation junk all worth it. Hopefully Papa had a much brighter birthday not having to be alone this year and the kids got to enjoy being a part of it instead of 4 hours away.
